ADF agreement with Navatec for European Farm Planning System - The Agricultural Development Foundation announced today that they have agreed to use Navatec Virtual Client Technology (VCT) for their prototyping of the European Farm Planning system. Navatec are world leaders in VCT which involves extremely low cost online services which make use of intelligent browsers and intelligent web sites. The ADF will be making use of English and Scottish farm survey data to evaluate the system. An initial online prototype tested successfully in Central Europe in 2008. This basic model is being upgraded to comply with Navatec standards for VCT. The resulting system will be more flexible, robust, lower cost and easier to use.
